and obviously the promo team knew this. which is why we didn't get the huge scale promo they teased. and why the accounts have gone quiet. it's now all about the new upcoming story.
part of what killed the hype was the reveal they immediately began filming the new show with duke at the helm.
it already wasn't clicking for ppl, but seeing in real time how a film killing off *thee* most important character was just a platform for a spin off...kinda sucked.
it's been a little over 2 months since the immortal man came out and even the official peaky blinders account doesn't acknowledge it anymore. it's like that movie never happened
@E_Tommy_l i would argue even that he's actually more open now than he used to be.
yes he did photoshoots like this, but he's always liked eccentric, esoteric things. he'll talk more about it these days than he used to. pre-2013 he wasn't giving ANYTHING away.
jamie bell seems a genuinely good choice for duke and better than barry (imo) but this is the THIRD recast and lack of familiarity will likely turn off the audience
