🚨 The Forgotten Charizard? One of the Rarest BW Reverse Holos in PSA 10. 🚨
Most collectors chase Gold Stars, Crystal Pokémon, and Trophy cards.
But sometimes the market overlooks cards that are quietly becoming impossible to find in top condition.
This is my personal collection:
2013 Pokémon Japanese Black & White EX Battle Boost
Charizard Reverse Foil #011
🔥 PSA 10 1st Edition — POP 55
🔥 PSA 10 Unlimited — POP 29
That means there are only 84 PSA 10 copies combined worldwide.
What makes this card special is the unique reverse holo treatment from EX Battle Boost. Unlike standard holo Charizards, these reverse foils are notoriously difficult to grade due to surface scratching and print quality issues.
Many collectors don’t even realize there are separate populations for:
1st Edition
Unlimited
And both are incredibly low for a Charizard released over a decade ago.
💰 1st Edition PSA 10: ~$2,300+
💰 Unlimited PSA 10: ~$2,900+
But honestly, the card itself isn’t the whole story.
One of my favorite parts of this hobby is finding overlooked cards like these in the wild and grading them myself.
Anyone can buy a rare card.
The real thrill is identifying something the market hasn’t fully appreciated yet, taking the risk, sending it to PSA, and watching it come back as a Gem Mint 10.
That’s the hunt.
That’s the fun.
In a hobby where everyone is chasing the same trophies, I enjoy searching for hidden gems that most collectors scroll right past.
Don’t just buy rarity. Create it.
Sometimes the best collection pieces aren’t the cards everyone wants today—they’re the cards everyone wishes they had tomorrow.
🔥 Combined PSA 10 Population: 84
🔥 POP Higher: 0
🔥 One of the toughest BW Charizard reverses to find in Gem Mint condition

@monstercardcult It may not be a Full Art, but the sense of movement and energy in the artwork makes it a truly outstanding card.”
“You don’t need a Full Art for a card to be amazing—this card’s dynamic artwork speaks for itself.” ✨
Most collectors think the 1st Edition is the card to own.
But the population report tells a completely different story.
2015 Japanese XY Red Flash
Mewtwo EX Secret Rare #065/059
PSA 10 Population:
• 1st Edition: 675
• Unlimited: 13
Let that sink in.
The Unlimited PSA 10 is over 50x rarer than the 1st Edition PSA 10.
Same artwork.
Same card.
Same set.
Yet one version has 675 PSA 10s…
The other has just 13.
Mewtwo is one of the most iconic Pokémon ever created.
This artwork by Mitsuhiro Arita is arguably one of the greatest Mewtwo cards of the entire XY era.
Everyone talks about Gold Stars.
Everyone talks about Trophy Cards.
Everyone talks about Alternate Arts.
Meanwhile, one of the rarest modern-era Mewtwo PSA 10s sits quietly under the radar.
No higher grade exists.
This PSA 10 Unlimited is from my personal collection, and honestly, I think it’s one of the most overlooked population anomalies in Pokémon collecting.
Sometimes the rarest cards aren’t the ones everyone is chasing.
They’re the ones nobody noticed.
What am I missing here?

⚡ One of My Favorite Pieces in My Personal Collection ⚡
Most Pokémon collectors know the big names.
Pikachu.
Mew.
Charizard.
But sometimes the rarest cards aren’t the ones everyone talks about.
Back in 2010, Pokémon Japan held the Legendary Pokémon Present Campaign, where these promotional cards were distributed exclusively through a lottery.
Only 5,000 copies of each card were produced.
No retail release.
No booster packs.
No reprints.
If you weren’t one of the lucky winners, you simply couldn’t get them.
Today, more than 15 years later, these cards have become increasingly difficult to find, especially in top condition.
What makes this group particularly special to me is that these cards are part of my personal collection.
Over the years, I’ve focused on collecting items that combine genuine rarity, historical significance, and strong condition rather than simply following market trends.
These cards check every box.
Featuring legendary Pokémon such as Rayquaza, they represent a unique moment in Pokémon TCG history that many collectors outside Japan may not even know exists.
And it always makes me wonder:
What if these had featured Pikachu or Mew instead?
A lottery-exclusive release.
Limited to only 5,000 copies.
More than 15 years old.
PSA GEM MINT 10 examples becoming harder and harder to find.
The hobby would likely view them very differently.
Yet the rarity has never changed.
Only the spotlight has.
That’s one reason I enjoy collecting pieces like these.
They remind me that some of the most interesting Pokémon cards aren’t necessarily the most famous ones.
They’re the cards with real scarcity, real history, and a story behind them.
True rarity isn’t determined by popularity.
It’s determined by survival.
And every year, fewer of these remain in pristine condition.
