@clarasmatic_42 our FMP so many more touches on the disc and placed in pivotal locations on the field. In our end of the season survey several MMP complained about the themed scrims that prioritized/equalized FMP roles on field. Felt I was putting too much emphasis on them. I was livid. 2/2
@clarasmatic_42 When I coached some of the scrim rules I’d implement during practices was that a FMP had to score or throw the assist for the point to count, or FMP had to touch the disc the same number of times as MMP and if not there was no score. It wasn’t perfect by any means. But it got 1/
@JPrushan I would like to point out that this is actually a VERY IMPORTANT QUALITY TO HAVE and I support the weight that it carries in their estimation of you.
@chrislehmann And yes, you absolutely deserve it too! Before I coached I never realized what kind of mental and emotional investment coaches put in. After a year like the one you’ve described I think you need your own wins (on the field or off) too.
5/ We’re holding out against hope that we did well enough at our one tournament to make it high enough in the rankings to make it to Regionals, IF Regionals even takes place. But we’ve braced ourselves for that not happening.
@chrislehmann Chris- thank you for sharing this! Your players sound like a bunch of irrepressible fighters. I hope they get a chance to see their hard work (and hard core mental toughness preparedness) pay off this spring.
@wi_statebird Thank you for your kind words. Again, I 100% am behind your/USAU’s decision. No hard feelings whatsoever for you. You all were put in a position that I do not envy and I believe you made the right choice. But it also feels good to be seen. I appreciate that a lot. Thanks 💚
@charleshoppes@Mike_Ball423 BotW is visually stunning with a compelling storyline and characters you get to watch as they mature and learn. It handles incredibly well, the fight styles are fun, the puzzles range from easy to challenging. There are like 1,000 side quests apart from the exciting main quest.
10/10 Feel free to comment or DM if you’re an ultimate coach or player with a crappy spring situation. There’s a lot of great things to talk about outside of the heartbreak, even if it takes us a while to find it.
9/ And me? I’m just trying to process a heavy loss and thought talking about it here would help. I always feel like I owe my players the world, so clearly I’m missing that mark by an even bigger margin this season.
