Today the MNPD remembers Madison Precinct Officer Eric Mumaw who died on duty 5 years ago today while trying to save a distraught woman in a car on a boat ramp of the Cumberland River. Officer Mumaw, an 18-year veteran, drowned after the woman drove into the water.

So saddened to hear of the loss of our Thelma Lou. Ole Thel. Betty Lynn died peacefully on Sat, Oct 16, at the age of 95. She appeared in 26 episodes of #TheAndyGriffithShow and was the oldest living member of the original adult cast. She celebrated her 95th birthday on Aug 29th.
