@AgingAnarchist I'm gonna get lynch by K-pop fans for this, but just my take: a lot of K-pop feels driven by production, visuals, and the whole idol package. J-pop, is more into instruments, melody, and composition.
J-pop’s big in anime circles, but saying it “can’t compete” with K-pop is crazy.
