@jenpwcoleman I was a counselor there in 1989 and 1990. Agree...the cabins are way up the hill. As a counselor, we were told the river had flooded before but had NEVER entered the cabins. We were told it was safest to stay in the cabin during a flood. I am hearing Dick died saving the girls.

@maggicarter @TonyClimate I was a counselor there in 1989 and 1990. The cabins have never flooded or come close even in huge floods including the one in 1987. This current flood is one which could not be anticipated. Praying for the girls. BTW-the directors/owners of the camp are caring and cautious.

Back then, I was told water never was near the cabins in any flood they ever had even in 1987. This is horrible and I am praying for the girls.
