When Marines were killed in Lebanon 43 years ago today, President Reagan was wise enough to withdraw from a hopeless situation and cut our losses. I miss President Reagan.
Homicides decreased in Chicago from 1990 to about 2015, then there was a sharp increase from 2016 to 2020, and since then they have been decreasing back to earlier levels.

@TonyClimate So just a couple of days ago good ole Tony was telling us that then see has been rising for 20000 years, now he's telling us it's retreating... Seems like good old tony will spin everything that is not nailes to the ground in any random direction to further his agenda.
@TonyClimate Cherry-picking one tide gauge and calling it evidence is a bold strategy. I'd suggest plotting the global satellite record, the rate has roughly doubled since the 90s.
Why will Congress have worked only nine full days between July 1st and the Election? I used a nearly-forgotten parliamentary rule to claim time on the floor and give this speech on the ninth day.
I'm very impressed with GPT 6 Luna. It is fast, does a good job and costs me essentially nothing as part of my ChatGPT subscription. I no longer need to use Chinese cloud models. Than you @OpenAI !
The biggest danger from sea level rise is that it would force millions of liberal Democrats into the remaining relatively sane areas of the United States.
For 30 years, Netanyahu has said an Iranian bomb was just around the corner. A Mada al-Carmel study argues he used that narrative to justify two wars on #Iran, both of which left #Iranβs government and nuclear program standing.

Sea level has risen 400 feet, yet we still have beaches, coral reefs and polar bears.
Nature adapts to changes in sea level without trillions of dollars scammed from taxpayers.

Data from Italy and the cruise ship showed that COVID was not a major threat to the general public. There was never any reason for the shutdowns and panic.
In Italy the average age of death was the same as from all other causes.

Six years ago government demonstrated they could take away your dignity, job, civil rights and freedom any time they wanted. Their experiment was very successful.
This is why the discussion of sea level is relative. The basins are filled in by sedimentation. The cliff pass location of the Battle of Thermopylae is now located 2.5 miles from the water. Not because the sea withdrew, but because the basin was filled in with sediment. Likewise, you can get higher relative sea levels when the land subsides from groundwater pumping and development.
October 23, 1983. A date forever etched in the hearts of United States Marines.
Forty-three years ago, a terrorist drove a truck loaded with explosives into the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, killing 241 American service members, including 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and 3 soldiers.
They were sons, brothers, husbands, fathers, and friends. Young Americans who had answered their countryβs call, never knowing they would never see home again.
For those of us who have worn the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor, Beirut is not just another tragic event in American history. Those were our brothers. We may never have met them, but we share a bond that neither time nor death can break.
Forty-three years have passed. Families have grown older, children have grown up without their fathers, and parents have gone to their graves still mourning their sons.
But I promise you one thing. The United States Marine Corps has not forgotten them, and we never will.
Rest peacefully, brothers. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Semper Fidelis. Always Faithful.
