And do data practitioners understand the power they hold by tweaking the model here and there? What is the biggest potential impact of that one tweak? What are the range of impacts for that one tweak?

A solution to this problem is more data practitioners from a variety of experiences and backgrounds being involved in the validation of these models. These models have the opportunity to impact a significant number of people's lives in ways that change the path their lives take.

Validation should be also be continuous. What is the model saying about groups as a whole and is that influenced by societal biases potentially built into the model? (The answer to this is yes.)
