A simple question.
Why did the BBC ever think it appropriate to report that the suspect in the Southport killings was born in Cardiff to parents from Rwanda?
If he'd been born in Surrey to parents from Yorkshire, I am certain that they would not have pointed that out.
Are they trying to create, or even imply that there are, second-class British citizens?
This feels horribly like racism from the BBC, with the implication being that this group is made up of people who could be deported from the UK because they might have a claim to citizenship elsewhere. If that is what is happening, the BBC is supporting the far-right playbook.
An explanation is needed. Why is this apparent racism allowed from our state broadcaster?
actual holocaust survivors are BEGGING you all to see that what palestinians are going through at the hands of israelis are exactly the same thing THEY had to endure during the holocaust. is that not fucking proof enough for you?
The Director of the UN's New York office just resigned after thirty years at the organisation over the UN's handling of the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
The entirety of his resignation letter is a necessary read but this first page blew me away.
Michelle Yeoh is the first Asian woman to win Best Actress and only the second woman of color in the history of the category—after Halle Berry more than 20 years ago. #Oscars
Energy bills are one of the highest in the world, food banks are at an all time high for use, workers are striking left, right and centre and a healthcare system that is literally on its last legs, but this; this is what they are campaigning for and pushing.
This extremely racist law will harm people who are already being harmed, revictimise those already enslaved and will be a “blessing” to human traffickers and slavers. Victims of human trafficking have no control over their plight including how they are trafficked.
BREAKING🚨| The government has announced anti-strike legislation.
When workers democratically vote to strike, they can be forced to work and sacked if they don’t. This is wrong, unworkable, and almost certainly illegal.
@pritipatel@BorisJohnson You have achieved nothing other than to make our country smaller and meaner. You took pleasure in cruelty; most enthusiastically so when you could target it at society’s most vulnerable. Your departure improves politics more than anything else in your career has or ever could.
