Video Watchdog, a great magazine, profiles Orson Welles' 1946 thriller The Stranger, about a fugitive Nazi hiding in a tiny Connecticut town. It was the first film to show actual footage from the death camps. The studio was bored, cut it down to 90 minutes, and forget it. Tragic

What gets me about people who “hate” black and white movies is that they don’t care about the plot, the cast, etc. Their hate only steams from it being in black and white. As if they’re aren’t old films in color. As if there aren’t films in color that are boring as shit.
