Why did Bruce Wayne trust the Batcomputer more than actual people?
He keeps secrets from his allies.
He investigates everyone.
He prepares contingencies to stop his own teammates.
Yet, the man who trusts no one gives a machine total access to the most sensitive data in the DC universe.
Bruce Wayne’s trust issues are so severe that he outsourced trust to a machine.
The most unrealistic part of Project Hail Mary isn't the astrophage.
It’s the utopian fantasy that world governments would seamlessly hand total control to scientists to save the planet.
Realistically, we'd spend the first 5 years arguing over funding and trade tariffs.
I have always told my friends about my ràpe fantasy ever since l was young.
Eventually, I was tied up & briefly sèxually molested by my teen neighbor & other younger kids when I was a child.
I probably have told this only to one person I know. My current boyfriend doesn't even know this. I don't know why I need to tell this to someone. I didn't have serious issues after the incident (at least I think so) and I hold no grudge to the people who did this. I don't even remember most of the details but here's what I do remember:
I was maybe around 8-10 years old. At the time I lived with my mom & dad in a small rented house. It was basically a long one floor building made into 3 smaller house. Our house was in the middle & was separated by the other houses by a wall. This building was actually situated behind a large house, where a rich family who owned & rented small houses live. One child around my age who came from that rich family participated in the incident.
Guy’s transformation proves that victims of abuse are not automatically innocent sometimes being given power reveals that they wanted to become the abuser all along
(SWIMMING WITH THE SHARKS)
Two great couples. Same church. Same laughter. Same empty rooms at night.
Tunde & Amara had been married six years.
Chike & Zainab, five.
People called them blessed.
They only smiled.
The smiles got thinner after the third year.
Family meetings. Prayer chains. “Just relax.”
Unsolicited advice arriving like uninvited guests.
Both wives learned how to change the subject before the question landed.
I had an affair, and my girlfriend became pregnant.
Before this happened, I had already promised my wife that I would end the relationship and focus on our marriage.
But everything changed when my girlfriend became pregnant with my child.
My girlfriend owns a small business, and one morning, government officials suddenly came to inspect her shop.
They checked her licence, receipts, storage, and other requirements.
They found several violations and temporarily shut down her business.
She had recently imported goods worth millions and had already collected money from customers.
Everything started falling apart.
Later, I discovered that my wife allegedly used her connections to send those officials to my girlfriend's business.
During my wedding reception, a woman I'd never seen before walked up to me.
She hugged me and whispered:
“You shouldn't have married him.”
I thought she was drunk.
Then she walked away.
I asked my husband who she was.
He said:
“I have no idea.”
Ten minutes later, she returned.
This time she handed me an envelope.
Inside was a hotel receipt.
The date was two days earlier.
My husband's name was on it.
I confronted him.
He insisted the receipt had been fabricated.
Then the woman showed me photographs.
She had dozens.
HR: We need you to explain something about your expense account.
Me: What did I do?
HR: You submitted a reimbursement for $8,750.
Me: Yes. For the client conference.
HR: The conference was cancelled.
Me: I know. I never attended.
HR: Then why did you submit expenses for it?
Me: I didn’t.
HR: The claim was submitted under your employee ID.
Me: I definitely didn’t submit it.
HR: It includes hotel, flights, meals, and transportation.
Me: I wasn’t even in that city.
HR: We checked.
Me: So why are you asking me?
HR: Because the money was already paid.
Me: Paid to who?
HR: You.
Me: What?
HR: $8,750 went into your bank account three days ago.
Me: I didn’t notice.
HR: You didn’t notice $8,750?
Me: I have several automatic payments. I assumed it was my salary adjustment.
HR: You didn’t receive a salary adjustment.
Me: Then where did the money come from?
HR: That’s what we’re trying to determine.
Me: Am I supposed to return it?
HR: Eventually.
Me: Eventually?
HR: First, we need to know who submitted the claim.
Me: Check the login.
HR: We did.
Me: And?
HR: It came from your laptop.
Me: That’s impossible.
HR: Your device accessed the system at 1:37 AM.
Me: I was asleep.
HR: We know.
Me: Then someone used my laptop.
HR: That’s not the strange part.
Me: What is?
HR: Your laptop wasn’t connected to the company network.
Me: Then how did they access my account?
HR: Through a remote connection.
Me: From where?
HR: Your apartment.
Me: You’re joking.
HR: We’re not.
The Main Villains in Secret Wars could be The Void, Galactus, Ultron, and of course, Dr. Doom.
Here’s how I think they could all fit into the story
ULTRON
Doom could revive Ultron by taking his head from Spider Man and rebuilding him.
Just like in the comics, Ultron could become Doom’s right hand man and command a new army to patrol Battleworld.
And the Doomsday trailer already shows Doom reviving an army of dead robots
GALACTUS
Battleworld would have an insane amount of power and energy, so Galactus could sense it and show up to consume the planet.
Or Marvel could take the comic route and have him brought there by the Beyonder.
THE VOID
After losing in Doomsday, Sentry could become mentally broken and lose his sense of purpose.
That could be what brings the Void back.
Doom could then try to contain the Void, using it as a weapon or even keeping it locked away as a last resort.
Basically, a living nuclear bomb waiting to be unleashed.
And then we have Dr. Doom, the mastermind behind all of it.
The comics already give Marvel plenty of material to work with. They could change how these characters return while still keeping the same general roles from Secret Wars.
Honestly, this could be insane if they pull it off.
Demola had what many young Nigerians would call a dream job. He was a Personal Assistant to one of the top executives at one of Nigeria's most popular oil companies. His salary was good, he dressed well for work and everyone around him thought he was already successful. But secretly, Demola wanted something different. He wanted to experience life abroad, build something of his own and create opportunities for his family.
Jurassic World’s Indominus Rex is honestly one of the most terrifying dinosaur villains in the franchise, but there’s also something pretty sad about her story.
It’s easy to see her as the villain, but she was basically Frankenstein’s monster. She was genetically created to be bigger, stronger, smarter, and more dangerous than anything before her, but nobody ever gave her a real purpose. She was just born into a world where she was treated like an experiment.
That’s part of what made Indominus Rex so interesting to me. She was my favorite dinosaur antagonist in the trilogy, and this battle is still one of the best.
Think about how much it took to bring her down: Blue and the other Velociraptors, human support, Rexy, and finally the Mosasaurus. And even after getting attacked by Blue and Rexy, Indominus STILL got back up and was ready to keep fighting.
It took an entire Avengers level team to finally stop one dinosaur.
