A knetz shared an interaction he had with Taehyung’s mom. It’s a heart-warming story of a mother’s gentle support that shaped today’s Taehyung. 👤 I once met the mother of one of the BTS members, we talked for quite a long time. At that time, BTS was just about to enter the U.S. market, and their popularity in Korea was beyond description. I had very little interest in idol groups, so to be honest, while talking to her, I didn’t even know how famous BTS was. And because of that, I didn’t know what that member looked like either. But the story she told me about that member’s childhood still stays with me. Later on, I came to realize that, that BTS was THEE BTS. “When he was in elementary school, I’d send him off to go to school, but then the school would call. They’d say he was late. So when he came home after school, I asked him why he went to school late. And he told me that he was late because he was looking at the flowers on the street, and watching ants crawling, and insects, and all kinds of things… and he would even talk to them.” She said she never scolded the boy to hurry to school; instead she told the teachers, “That’s just the way my child is, so as long as he makes it to school, please just let him be.” I remember thinking both the child and the mother were special. This is not an easy way to raise a child. But I don’t know whether he became special because he became a BTS member, or whether he became a BTS member because he was already special. These thoughts suddenly came to mind just when I felt like I should go to bed. But honestly, even to me, BTS really is incredible. I hope they continue to have a positive influence. (He confirmed this member was Taehyung multiple times in the comments after fans guessed it right)
