This is very well said and honestly summarizes what I think SO many of us are feeling today <3 There really aren't words to describe what #BFC gives to this community!
My highlight of @BabyfurCon canโt be put into words. Not one is strong enough. In art school, I took 3 yrs of a creating immersive experiences class, like theme parks. BFC is more than a con. Itโs more than a retreat. And โexperienceโ isnโt enough. Pure magic ๐
@crinklycorgi XD I literally have zero issues myself but it's a matter of being used to it. I'm sure the process of getting used to it might be difficult but I don't even remember
And final result! Not only are they easily removable, but the ears along with magnetic eyebrows/Velcro eyelids make for so much expression! Even if most are just silly faces c:
From blep, to drunk AF, to very suspicious (or high as balls I unno, whatever, shut up :3) #HopHazard
Rather than keep this idea/technique secret, I am doing my best to document the steps and process for anyone else in the suit making community that is interested. I will further document and update as the ear mounts and head progress. Once done, I'll share the tutorial around.
The bases are stuck through from the inside, then secured with hot glue and plastic mesh, stiched and looped through each screw hole, and covered with fleece. They aren't coming out!
@JAQPUP As slow as it would be at first, maybe we REALLY do need to make the complete shift to Blue :/ I also know if you made a primary shift, a lot will follow. I rarely pay attention to timeline on this site since it's soooo random and all over the place even AFTER years of curation.
@LilDragonDraco It was pretty much all that Paradise at Mt Rainier have to offer, short of climbing to Camp Muir and then summit. The one that I highly recommended being Skyline Loop at about 5.5 miles, 9.6 with all the spurs added.
I'm really proud of myself and this woofer <3 It feels good knowing we can still hike 17.2 miles and climb 4200 feet without preparation. Plenty of water and food to get us by and our endurance carried us the rest of the way! \o/
@HowlingOtter Oh hey! I was seeing that stuff when searching and getting ideas but I couldn't figure out what it was called to further the search! Thank you for the heads up cuz thats certainly another idea to try :D
Playing around with different methods to attach the male piece to the ear. Before I glue it in place I'm testing multiple methods. Tomorrow I will also be getting a slightly different male ball joint piece that could work better :)
I'll keep updating this thread as I go as well!
For a while now I've been really trying to think of a better system for removable/posable ears rather than the magnets I was using. I think I might have figured it out, though it does need more testing.
I strongly believe in sharing new techniques to better advance a craft \o/
