🥳 Namada successfully initiated its latest testnet on October 4, 2023, at 17:00 UTC. Despite constraints on participant slots, the latest testnet saw significant community participation. The testnet is identified by the chain-id public-testnet-14.5d79b6958580.

A pivotal change in this testnet version is the phasing out of the previous faucet VP system for fee payments.

Namada has replaced this with a more user-friendly front-end faucet, specifically engineered to demystify the gas and fee mechanics within its ecosystem. The faucet is accessible at https://t.co/X5BCvyfcVe.

Also noteworthy is the fact that IBC transfers between Namada and Cosmos were successfully implemented in this testnet iteration!

However, there are certain design limitations for this testnet. Specifically, the capability to send ATOM to a Namada Multi-Asset Shielded Pool (MASP) payment address is currently not supported. This is a known limitation as the development team is actively engaged in fleshing out this feature, which is still under construction.

Most of defi is a reimplementation of existing financial system on crypto rails.

CoFi is a reimagination of what efficient debt clearing could be using tools only now available.
