What was your fav BBW‘26 moment?

[Gesa Schneider @G3saVV]

What a beautiful day at @JoinFutura. It was wonderful to see so many people again and to discuss Sovereign AI and Decentralized Tech. As always, the venue and the program were truly stunning. ✨ @BerBlockWeek

[WebZero @joinwebzero]

A record-breaking 900 people got a taste of the real Berlin with @Zcash.

The Blockspäti was the highlight of the week.

A secret späti club with 20 DJ sets, fashion, vendors, a hackathon, art & privacy talks, workshops, and BBQ.

Thank YOU all for another incredible year. 💛

[Ethereum Swarm @ethswarm]

Clips from setup and first run of The Plural Monolith.

An experiment bringing together Swarm, @DarkFi, @WinPrivacy — and already gaining force before the premiere. Thanks, Alaska, Mourad, Alexandra & everyone coding, dancing, tapping along.

This is Web3 in practice: decentralized infra as the underlayer, the artwork existing in decentralized space, and the beginning of an ongoing social/art machine.

Now that @Web3summit 2026 is over, we're looking back at two full-on days of workshops, conversations and community!

🎮 We kicked off with Play, Own, Build: The New Foundations of Gaming, a hands-on workshop exploring how gaming is becoming one of the most compelling examples of Web3 in action.

Together with builders from across the ecosystem, participants explored how traditional applications can evolve into decentralized experiences, where players don't just play the game, but own their assets and actively participate in the systems they use.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussion and a special thanks to @Krayt78 for leading the session. It was the perfect way to start these incredible days in Berlin.

[DeSci.Berlin @DeSciBerlin]

Highlights and key takeaways from Day 2 of DeSci Berlin 2026👇

→ @vitarnabio targets a mutation tied to both cancer risk and accelerated aging, one drug, two disease mechanisms. Early mouse data already shows a 4x increase in tissue uptake across the heart, brain, and liver.

→ Most AI in drug discovery still needs a human to check the data, submit the order, and read the result. @peptai_ removes all three, designing candidates, paying a wet lab directly through x402, and reading results back with no human in the loop. Every candidate gets minted onchain as IP through @Molecule_sci, so the trail survives even if the experiment fails.

→ Open Labs lets a researcher post a single hypothesis and get real feedback from a focused community before any token or funding exists. Stake tokens behind a project, and the yield flows directly to fund the research while the principal stays untouched.

→ On the panel about closing the loop between AI design and the wet lab, one constraint kept coming up. Biology lacks perturbation data, real records of what happens when a specific sequence actually gets changed. Agents can propose endless candidates, but proving any of them still runs on lab time.

→ @adaptyvbio turned wet lab validation into an API call, send a protein sequence, get real binding data back in days. To test it, they pitted AI agents against human protein designers on the same target at a hackathon. The agents matched the best humans in the room, and the top two performers ran on GPT and Grok, no specialized biology model required.

Workshops upstairs, even in the heat, people showing up to learn during @BerBlockWeek.

Here we see @nymvpn in action and learn about the importance of mix networks for privacy on a larger scale and as a bigger issue for society.

That’s a Wrap-up from @BerBlockWeek

Self-custody meets real-world yield.

Holding tokenized assets is one thing. Holding them securely is another.

We are getting closer to a future where investors don’t have to choose between security and access.

I have one last day in Berlin to wind down after @BerBlockWeek but a lifetime of memories of the @Zcash Blockspäti we co-hosted with @joinwebzero. Here's just four moments out of hundreds.

Delicious homebrew @zodl_app beer, ZECsy humans, endless conversations, new opportunities.

[Sarthiii @SarthiB7]

Ok what the Fock.

I cannot explain how I had the best experience in closing of @BerBlockWeek

But we were blindfolded in transition :)

And many things happened.

TLDR tho 😭🔥🫶🏻

[alyonafuria @alyonafuria]

This @BerBlockWeek was definitely for believers.

Met so many incredibly inspiring people, both professionally and personally. People I want to be like when I grow up, and because of whom watching the sunrise on the way home somehow became a habit this week.

I guess I forgot how refreshing it is to be around people who are completely unapologetic about what they believe in. People who are passionate, idealistic, and radical in the best possible way.

Now it's time to reflect and carry that energy forward.
