Been a while I have done this but read to end.

Let’s be honest. Web3 can be mentally exhausting.

You spend hours on X building connections, replying to projects, looking for opportunities, applying for roles, contributing to communities and trying to make yourself visible.

You watch other people get opportunities while your own efforts seem to lead nowhere.

Sometimes you get rejected. Sometimes you’re ignored. Sometimes you don’t even get a response.

And after a while, you start questioning yourself.

“Am I not good enough?”
“Am I doing something wrong?”
“Will I ever get an opportunity?”
“What’s the point of all this grinding?”

If you’ve ever felt this way, I want you to remember a few things.

1. Don’t let rejection define your worth.

Not getting a role doesn’t automatically mean you’re not cut off for the role/job. Sometimes a project has a limited budget, already has someone in mind, or simply isn’t looking for what you offer.

Learn from every rejection, but don’t turn it into a judgment of yourself.

2. Stop chasing every opportunity.

Not every project deserves your time and energy. Be intentional about where you contribute.

Research projects, understand their teams, identify where your skills can be useful and approach opportunities strategically.

You don’t have to be everywhere to make progress.

3. Build something beyond your replies.

Create proof of what you can do. Document your work, share your ideas and build a portfolio.

Make it easier for people to see your value.

4. Stop working yourself into exhaustion.

You don’t have to be online 24/7 to prove you’re serious.

Take breaks. Have conversations outside Web3. Spend time with friends. Enjoy things that have nothing to do with crypto.

Your life is bigger than your X account, follower count or the number of projects you work with.

5. Don’t be afraid to start small, but know your worth.

Every successful person in this space started somewhere.

A small opportunity can teach you something valuable, but don’t allow people to take advantage of your desperation for experience or exposure.

Your time, skills and effort have value. Learn to communicate that.

6. Focus on progress, not comparison.

Someone getting hired today doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

Someone having 10k followers doesn’t mean your 1k followers are worthless.

Everyone has a different starting point, network, resources and timeline.

Compete with who you were yesterday.

7. Never stop making genuine connections.

Don’t approach every person like they’re a potential employer.

Build friendships. Support people. Have meaningful conversations. Learn from others.

Sometimes the best opportunities come from relationships you built without expecting anything in return.

And most importantly, don’t lose yourself trying to make it in this space.

You can take Web3 seriously without allowing it to consume your mental health.

You can be ambitious without being desperate.

You can take a break without giving up.

You can be talented and still be unemployed.

You can be hardworking and still be overlooked.

None of these things makes you a failure.

Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep building. But remember to live, too.

Your opportunity might take longer than you expected, but don’t let the waiting period convince you that your efforts are meaningless.

To everyone silently struggling, I hope things get better for you.

We’re all trying to figure this space out. Give yourself some grace. ❤️
