@pepelaruta My pc publishes velocity data to a rostopic which the rpi subscribes to, then it uses that data to produce a pwm output over the GPIO pins to control the speed of four motors.
Currently working on a fully autonomous robot utilizing ros! Using a raspberry pi for motor control, ZED for environment data, pc for computations. More updates coming soon.
My brother and I decided to create a @VEXRobotics robot in just 24 hours for the recently unveiled competition, Change Up. We had a lot of fun making it and can not wait to compete in VEX AI. Here is the reveal video - https://t.co/Hsk0nF4x8b
Although it’s a great start, it definitely is not perfect. As seen in this image, the yellow roll of tape is also classified as a power cell. Currently working to retrain the model with more images to increase accuracy and prevent any such mistakes @PyTorch#Machine_Learning#ai
I have been using tensorflow for object detection for a while but recently decided to pick up @PyTorch due to its growing popularity. Here are some of my first tests of my custom trained model used for detecting this past year’s #FRC game elements! #AIForAll#MachineLearning
The #frc2020 season is over. My team learned a lot during this season, in particular many soft skills such as teamwork and leadership. It all culminated in the Midwest regional, which was a great success and winning the rookie inspiration award was just the icing on the cake.
#frc2020 season has gotten off to a great start! Today we prototyped our intake and shooter mechanisms, both of which were successful. Can't reveal to much about our robot yet, but more updates will be posted soon... @BroncoSteel
We’ve got movement! I really like using the @adafruit PCA9685 motor driver, it is great for controlling all sorts of pwm based motor controllers. Currently using this bot for testing the vision system I am developing for this year’s #FRC competition. @FRCTeams@BroncoSteel
Recently picked up some new tools including a break press and a mill! So excited to use them in upcoming projects. Currently creating an extremely high strength @donkey_car. #Robotics
#FRC update: I have been recently working on a real-time color detection program using openCV to allow us to use auto-aiming during the FRC season. Currently in the process of integrating the @Stereolabs3D ZED API into my program to allow for distance tracking.
CREEPER UPDATE: made lots of progress the last few days! Had lots of problems with the stability of the leg with the motors and wheels in it. I am now in the process of integretating metal into the supports to hopefully increase the overall stability. #Minecraft@MkeMakerFaire
Had some free time the last few days so I decided to start working on a gigantic @Minecraft creeper! It uses a raspberry pi, Adafruit motor hat, @adafruit pwm board, victor spx motor controller, and a Xbox 360 controller. Can’t wait to show it off at @MkeMakerFaire!
RT @BroncoSteel: Come join us at the Barrington Library Creator Fair today 10-4. @circuitchicken Giant Robot Chicken and our FRC robot and Vex Bots on full display out front!
