The thing about transfem hyper visibility being framed as a privilege is that I just straight up do not remember ever seeing a portrayal of a trans woman growing up that didn’t make me repress more
transmisogyny is a criminally underacknowledged vector of oppression but its impossible to talk about online without summoning a hundred he/himmlers and they k rowlings who just need to talk about how the term makes them feel bad
@MEGID0LA0N@burnthelilacs its like how some trans women will be so brainwormed they use the term moid on themselves and others, completely hate compromised
@ceceisheretoo@TotallyNotCamy That's barely any time at all, I need you to understand that it takes years and years and you will continue seeing changes at like year 6 and beyond. I'm unrecognizable now.
she almost killed herself because the entire internet, from all sides (cis and trans) launched a months long harassment campaign calling her the most vile things you could think of all because you didn’t like the finale of her fucking indie animated show. you people are evil.
Why is afab dysphoria “a spectrum” where more than half just don’t transition and 60% of those that do detrans whilst amab dysphoria makes you kill yourself in <5 years after spending 150k on cosmetics
I hear so much discourse in Japan about how feminizing HRT is scary or how you should be really careful with it because of its effects on your emotions, and it's so interesting to me because I rarely hear similar discourse in Dutch or English. I wonder what's up with that.
"why do trans men relate to womanhood" because gender is asymmetrical and genderered violence under patriarchy is feminizing/ed. Any other answer is personal, and while this can be beautiful and very useful for some folks its not social analysis, and shouldn't be read as such.
