@AmericanGwyn@DanielMarkham@moseskagan Definitely finish it! The first 100 pages are definitely frustrating but the payoff is worth it. My only gripe is that McMurtry calls Captain Call a stoic. I think Gus is the true stoic.
@reedgalen Hugging Face is an open source site for AI development. Open AI was testing its latest models by posing very difficult questions to it. The AI wanted to score as high as possible, and reasoned that the answer would be on Hugging Face’s server, so it hacked them autonomously.
@_JakubJanda@Kasparov63 What’s being described here is a repeat of how the US initially wanted to fight WW2: Prioritize Japan over Germany. It was Churchill who helped convince Roosevelt to change priorities.
@literaryeric The argument between Big Government vs Small Government ended in the 60s. Big Government won. The battle since has been whom Big Government does what for.
@adrianmckinty Weird that I’ve already been into military history for a long time, but now in my “Dad Era”, my focus has shifted from battles to logistics/organizational quirks.
@20committee@RadioFreeTom But guys, Hegseth’s warfighters are total Alphas. Logistics and all that war college “learn lessons from past campaigns” stuff is for woke cucks.
@NataliaAntonova THANK YOU for this! We got our doodle from a reputable breeder after a bad experience with a rescue. He has a lineage and I get made fun of for it, but he’s responsibly bred to fit my family’s lifestyle. No one can tell me that was wel-bred dog isn’t moral.
