I'm a skeptic. Biden's Inflation Reduction Act (🇺🇲!) was the template to the whole world for how to build new infrastructure and promote growth. maybe they had it wrong and all you need to do is mess around with the green belt then trust the market, but the Yank way looks simpler

Doctor's pay has fallen in real terms since 2010 and the concessions here only partly restore.

The Tory policy of cutting doctors pay and expecting them to take it in the chin was never sustainable.

This is really good, but I can't help thinking about how many years have been wasted. It was clear in 2008 that the UK's dependency on finance was a probiem and industrial policy was needed.

Austerity was such a waste.
