The same liberals who used to love Glenn now hate him for the same reporting on the exact same issues. It's insane, unless you understand how intensely they believe that Trump is an evil that must be opposed by any means necessary.
However one defines "disinformation," it's beyond reasonable dispute that the FBI always has been, and continues to be, one of the most prolific disseminators of it.
The same is true of corporate media and the establishment frauds they've christened as "disinformation experts."
Politicians need votes from the poor/middle class and money from the rich. So almost all of them loudly claim to be fighting for the former while quietly fighting for the latter.
While it’s nice to see the NY Times finally admit masks are worthless, it’s false to say the mandates “did nothing.” They harmed kids, eroded public trust, and psychologically damaged millions of people to the point where they’re still afraid to breathe in public.
3. Take, for example, Stanford’s Dr. Jay Bhattacharya (@DrJBhattacharya) who argued that Covid lockdowns would harm children. Twitter secretly placed him on a “Trends Blacklist,” which prevented his tweets from trending.
I think about this a lot. Fat shaming is incredibly cruel but the other end of the spectrum, encouraging people to take pride in a deadly health issue, might be even worse.
Obesity is deadlier than smoking. Why not stigmatize and regulate it to the same degree?
(As an obeast myself, I am personally pro-stigmatization and anti-regulation)
@michelletandler SF is the only city where I've seen people both defacating in trash cans and using them to cook dinner so I assume the city has rather unique requirements for its trash can design.
Fun fact. By March 1964, after nine years of involvement in Vietnam, the US had committed approximately $27 billion (today's dollars) in military and economic "aid"
By May 2022, the US had committed $54 billion to Ukraine in less than three months
While the TX shooter murdered children and teachers for an hour, heavily armed police stood outside.
Not only did they refuse to stop the shooter, they stopped parents from trying to do so themselves, even pinning a man down to stop him.
Ross Ulbricht's (@RealRossU) sentence is the greatest violation of the Eighth Amendment that I'm aware of in the United States today. The Eighth Amendment prohibits the federal government from exacting cruel and unusual punishment.
Total amount US has allocated to war in Ukraine **after 10 weeks**: $54 billion.
- Average *annual* amount US spent for its war in Afghanistan: $46b.
- Total Russian military budget for the entire year: $69b.
- Projected US expenditure on war in Ukraine for one year: $554b.
Absolutely fucking amazing and sickening that the same outlets that spread the CIA lie right before the election that these documents were "Russian disinformation" and must therefore be banned, are now using those docs to "raise questions" now that the election is safely over.
Bernie Sanders, AOC, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib all voted to send $40 billion to Ukraine.
No one on the left should consider the Democratic Party as anything other than the enemy.
