Today, City Corps youth members worked alongside the townkeeping team to clean up alleyways in 📍Bartolo Square North.
Together, they collected over 1,000 lbs of illegal dumping and over 800 lbs of green waste. 🦺🚧 #citycorpsatwork#oxnardrec
City Corps Recreation Specialists used their skills and years of experience to teach a training on trailer maneuvering. Skills taught included how to back up and hitch properly, driving and maneuvering, backing up, parking and unhitching.
Thank you to Oxnard PAL for leading our youth members on a day full of fun and adventure. We explored through the Santa Barbara Zoo and let our minds wonder at the @moxisb where we experienced playful learning through interactive exhibits and activities.
Thank you to all who collected and donated socks for our annual Socks for Citizens program! Together we collected 862 pairs of socks for families. Socks were delivered to the Gabriel’s House, Oxnard Navigation Center and Lighthouse for Women and Children. 🧦
Santa and Mrs. Claus are headed back to the workshop for a bit 🧸🚂🎄. Catch Santa and Mrs. Claus on Wednesday night flying through the Northwest Community! Have a great night! 🤶🏼🎅🏼✨

Our 3rd Annual Socks for Citizens was a success!
Thanks: Channel Islands HS LULAC Youth Council and various City of Oxnard Depts for helping us collect 469 pairs of socks for the Oxnard Navigation Center & Lighthouse for Women & Children. #citycorps#oxnardrec
