January is named after the Roman god Janus, protector of gates and doorways.

Janus is depicted with two faces, one looking into the past, the other into the future.

He is frequently symbolized change and transitions such as the progress of past to future, from one condition to another, from one vision to another, and young people's growth to adulthood. He represented time because he could see into the past with one face and into the future with the other.

January 1 was consecrated to Janus since it was the first of the new year and of the month (kalends) of Janus: the feria had an augural character as Romans believed the beginning of anything was an omen for the whole.

Recently unredacted court documents unveil a crazy early chapter in the Epstein saga: Before Bill Gates became entangled, Google co-founder Sergey Brin was already in Epstein's sticky palms as “the advisor to the Google founders.”

A 2003 introduction to JPMorgan Chase, growing into a multi-billion dollar relationship, hints at Epstein's honeypot success and potentially compromising Google at its core.

Digging into the files from the Southern District of New York reveals a fascinating tidbit: Sergey Brin was introduced to JPMorgan's Jes Staley by Epstein, becoming a major client within a year. It's big business, with Brin's dealings exceeding $4 billion.

In the words of banker Robert A. Keller, 'We're tight with the Brin family office.' And there's more – Epstein also played connector for Page and JPMorgan, as court documents disclose.

In the whirlwind of news this September, a significant piece slipped under the radar: JPMorgan Chase's Epstein-related 75 million dollar settlement.

REPORT: Thanks to getting rich off politics, Nikki Haley was able to purchase a $2.4 million waterfront home in South Carolina.

Just five months after joining Boeing, Haley purchased the massive home on Kiawah Island.
