I’ve been clear: Delcy Rodríguez is NOT the legitimate president of Venezuela. She is a cartel leader who must cooperate with the United States as we work toward a true democratic transition and ensure the commitments that have been made are fulfilled.
The United States knows exactly who Delcy Rodríguez is.
We must restore Venezuela’s democratic institutions, beginning with a legitimate Supreme Court that can guarantee free and fair elections. And for those elections to truly be free, ALL candidates must have the freedom to run and campaign without oppression, intimidation or persecution — starting with @MariaCorinaYA. She must be able to return home and live, organize and participate freely in her own country.
That also means every political prisoner must be released — no exceptions, no conditions. Venezuela cannot be free while innocent people remain behind bars for standing up to this evil regime.
Thanks to the leadership of @POTUS and @SecRubio, we are getting closer every day to seeing the Venezuelan people finally have the freedom, democracy and future they have fought and sacrificed for.
This is laughable.
Cartel de los Soles Jefecillo talks about a myriad of elections, from local dog-catcher, and so on.
They are stringing this along because they think President Trump is distracted. They think they can make it until 2028.
He’s not.
#SetTheDate
One of my favorite songs plays during the final scene of "La Vie en Rose". Marion Cotillard performs to Edith Piaf’s original voice, creating a deeply moving moment that captures the spirit of one of France’s most iconic singers.
