HRVP @kajakallas & @officialABAT had a very cordial, substantial exchange of views in the President's Lagos residence. Both agreed on the need for the 🇪🇺 & 🇳🇬 to strengthen their partnership & “stick together” to defend their common interests in the current geo-pol. context.
Ten years since the publication of my debut novel, Season of Crimson Blossoms, I am excited to see it continously being celebrated. This event hosted by the wonderful @civetdebiche and @victoriaminaise honoured my work and that of the artist Benjamin Abana in Abuja recently. I am humbled and grateful for the gesture. In a world full of conflict, literature and culture helps us make sense of things.

I stopped by Ozumba Mbadiwe Road today to see the artwork and murals that have transformed our streets from a blank canvas into a thing of beauty.
As part of the Lagos Street Art Festival, our streets are being transformed by artists who have come in from different parts of Nigeria and beyond, each leaving a piece of their story on our walls.
Art belongs in the open, where everyone can experience it, not just in galleries. These murals reflect who we are as a city, bold, expressive, and full of life.
I am grateful to every artist who has poured their time, talent, and heart into this. You have added color to our everyday movement and reminded us that creativity lives right here, on our streets.
If you are passing through, take a moment to look around. This is Lagos.
