You actually fell for the “No formal letter was submitted” defence?

Journalists are expected to use their brains, not just copy-paste official excuses.

Since when did a constitutional body start demanding a formal invitation letter to meet elected representatives of the people?

Is the Election Commission now running a royal court where the public needs prior written permission to seek an audience?

Accessibility is a basic duty of any public institution ,not a royal favour granted after proper paperwork.

An Election Commission that has the entire body sitting inside the same building ,yet cannot spare 20 minutes for the LOP @RahulGandhi ,has already given the clearest possible answer about its neutrality and accountability.

No letter required for that conclusion.

@CommonBS786OM In fact, worse than that. When you book the ticket, it is waitlisted even 30 days before journey and then seats are lying vacant in the train. Looks like tatkal+ prem tatkal+ vip quota seats r now more than the seats available for booking.

@AshwiniVaishnaw @RailwaySeva Did a short travel in 3-tier sleeper on Indian rail recently. A few important observations that we take for granted in AC coaches.
1. 139 for toilet cleang works even in sleeper. Caveat - almost all westerN style toilets were non functional.

@AshwiniVaishnaw @RailwaySeva 3. Ther were almost 1.5x passengers compared to no of berths. Apparently, a TT can issue a fine and a tkt to travellers who hav a gen tkt & they can b in a reserved sl coach. So ttl chaos.
& All this on karnatka exp that travels for 36 hrs. Imagine the pain of common traveller.

@AshwiniVaishnaw @RailwaySeva 2. While officially vending & carrying gutka, tobaccoe etc is banned on railway stations and trains, there were multiple vendors selling the same insleeper coaches. In presence of railway staff and police. & Selling at 2x MRP as these r nt available at stations.

I think the govt is underestimating middle class anger. People are fed up with paying income tax & getting nothing in return except for collapsing infrastructure & now, an economy also near collapse
At the same time tax payers money is being used to bail out billionaires, to write off their debts & hand state assets over to them
It’s easy to see why the beleaguered middle class is so angered by this kind of crony capitalism

@jeevanjyoti @IITKgp Can you pl make an appeal and a video to all IITs (the biggest offenders) and other engg colleges to stop publishing data on these crore packages. Let them give % of students placed, and if it's not doable, at best add average & median salaries. Can you pl do it.

Prof @jeevanjyoti , I recently watched a video on ur yt channel advising parents of engineering students on discussing job packages. Wonderful initiative, I must say. However, the same time also read note from @IITKgp that 12 students of outgoing batch have rec'd package >.9 cr.
