People need to stop confusing civil unrest with actual revolution. During the French Revolution in the late 1700s, revolutionaries were actively overthrowing the monarchy, even executing the king and members of the ruling establishment they blamed for their suffering. However brutal those methods were, they were directly challenging the people and institutions in power.
I don't understand why some leftists insist on comparing that to modern-day rioters burning businesses, looting stores, and destroying their own communities. What exactly are you accomplishing when the same president remains in office, making the same decisions you're supposedly protesting? Destruction alone isn't a revolution, and romanticizing it as some heroic act of resistance doesn't make it one.
#Paris
Did everyone collectively forget the Los Angeles anti-ICE unrest in 25? Or the Jan 6 Capitol riot in 21 or 2020? Millions of Americans took to the streets for BLM, with some cities experiencing riots, fires, and looting. This European obsession with portraying Americans as passive simply because we aren't rioting every other week is ridiculous. Destruction isn't a measure of political courage.
people in the US donโt protest like they do in France because the propaganda in the US is so strong that people internalize their failures instead of correctly seeing it as a product of a immoral, capitalist system
@antiright420@gummibear737 Ed's not the one bombing children in Palestine. And canceling Ed doesn't solve Palestines problem. All Ed's not here to validate your political opinions and yes Macklemore is a POS for doing Ed the way he did.
Twitter is crazy because you can just say stuff like this with zero sources and nobody will accuse you of making stuff up and instead will give you thousands of likes because you added some stupid reaction image
@TheDanteMunoz The day people realise countries like China and Vietnam are socialist in name only and highly capitalist in there economic practices is the day stupid post like these come to an end.
Ofc you still haven't taken an ounce of responsibility for what Christopher actually called you out for. You randomly messaged my friend calling them a "pocket pussy for Alfred," and instead of addressing that, you're crying about him "defending Alfred." And putting me on the same tier as Chan and Joseph over absurd allegations y'all threw together to justify banning me is insane. This is exactly why nobody takes BUSA moderation seriously. Somehow I stay relevant to you no life losers even when I'm not there.
@BUSA_Ossoff "Loves our people" I'm pretty sure Tenneseeans are tired of people who aren't even Tenneseeans larping as Tennesee residents for clout. Behavior like this is exactly why im running for governor so phonies like John Milkers and Mark Ossaf can stop making a joke out of Tennesee.
@JohnWilkers_ Inspired by CPAC* and unlike Bernstein and AIPAC mines actually creative. Also no member of my committee was thrown away! My board consists of 8 intelligent busa politicians and members.
For that reason, I do not feel the CSP is a party that I can fully align with at this time. Until I find a party whose values, structure, and leadership I can genuinely support, I will remain an Independent. (3/3)
While I appreciate the party's mission, I believe a party should be grounded in clear principles and positions that members can confidently hold accountable. The concept of "common sense" is ultimately subjective, and what one person sees as common sense another may not. (2/3)
