@MichaelRosenYes Largely because, outside of the bubble, most people are just getting on with getting by. They just want life to get easier and are really not very interested in the infighting of the Labour Party.
@Hepworthclare Clare, the Forde Report made it absolutely clear the abuse that Diane was subjected to from within her own party.
Everyone who read the report was aware.
As far as I know, there were no consequences from the current leadership for their actions.
@SangitaMyska I cancelled a DD to a leading UK charity because of repeated phone calls requesting I increase the monthly donation.
Charities often outsource their fundraising - chugging/door knocking to private companies. Presumably for a fee.
#Aberystwyth Does anyone know if the power is still out in the Trawscoed, specifically Cnwch Coch area.
Can’t contact a family member who lives alone there.
@PaulEmbery Utter bollocks! You obviously never saw how comfortable Corbyn was interacting with ordinary people. He was frequently uncomfortable with journalists. He had good reason to be!
@kelvmackenzie As a retired teacher, I can tell you this is rubbish!
I have no idea where you get your figures from but it does seem that you are trying to set one group of workers against another when you should be addressing the deplorable level of the state pension.
@OwenJones84 They also were cynically dismissive of voters they believed were not strategically important such as Moslem, Left and Young voters.
Ultimately, this leaves the government vulnerable to claims that it doesn’t represent majority views.
Dangerous but predicable.
@OwenJones84 It was a huge flaw in Labour’s electoral strategy. They targeted seats rather than votes. In doing so, it gave the Right and Far Right opportunity to claim that there was no mandate for Starmer’s Labour and to call the democratic process into question. 1/2
@ArnoldLabour I haven’t. I think it’s Elon Musk. If it’s happening to some random woman in the UK, what must it be like for sympathisers in the US?
It’s scary stuff too!
