@MarcelAndRogie To my untrained eye, he appears to always be playing at a practice-level of intensity. His skating and speed look phenomenal but the level of aggression looks like he's competing against his own teammates so he stops short of tapping into that killer instinct.

@Scottius_Caesar @MarcelAndRogie What if that 80-90 pts/season only happens for one season? That's the counterpoint we're making. Agreed, he's awesome now. No argument there. But he's 34 and won't be just as awesome in 2-3 years. And that's even (huge) IF he agreed to be traded to LAK and IF he signs extension.

@MarcelAndRogie I can't argue against any of that. But if LAK are gonna mortgage the little they DO have you'd hope it'd be for someone younger. As others have said, LAK don't feel like "one piece away" from contention, not to mention Panarin isn't the transitional C they truly need.

Definitely seems to support 92 playing in all situations, especially considering LAK tendency to take their foot off the gas while protecting a late lead which has often turned W's into L's.

@NHLRussell Is there a way to find data on Clarke's deployment vs opponent's line combos? I've seen that Clarke's defensive metrics have been very good, but is it a result of facing opponent 3rd and 4th lines? Or is he performing well against the opponent's best?
