TRANSLATION: ANC has historically broadcast on two frequencies, one intended for a local audience and one for an international audience.
Channel 1 is for local consumption. The message here is: "Chanting 'Kill the boer,' and worse, is perfectly okay. The National Democratic Revolution demands we must have demographic representivity everywhere, the seizing of the land, and so on. We will sell SA's foreign policy to any dictatorship willing to pay a high enough price."
Channel 2 is for international consumption. The message here is: "We are the leaders of the Rainbow Nation, are fanatically committed to reconciliation and non-racialism, and our foreign policy is guided by our fierce commitment to human rights."
These complaints about "misinformation" and "disinformation" are really an expression of indignation that the Trump administration has tuned out of Channel 2 and are now listening in on Channel 1, and reacting accordingly.
