@IanLevine I think he's just covering the real reason... It was a CIN sketch and they didn't have the time or budget to make him up as the usual Davros.
@TUIUK your main day before FAQ doesn't mention Manchester airport, yet some other pages on your website do say it's available at Manchester. Please could you let me know if day before check in will be available at Manchester during July?
@MarcIles No!! Keep it at 8, some of us travel 30 miles to get there and with the traffic past the Trafford centre, anything earlier would be a real pain π
@Matty14921@Juneyghirl58@RealDeniseWelch 1600 people die every day in the UK. With covid rates so high, a high proportion of those will have had covid within 28 days. The majority of the 150k you quote are just normal deaths that tested positive. Its about 17000 that have died FROM covid. Less than flu.
@SieDaniels It was on TV back in 2020, can't remember where. But I think the fact Wales, Scotland and France had higher infections when they kept masks, and the fact England infections have rocketed since they brought masks back, shows they contribute to the spread not prevent it
@pyperpc@ShakeyStephens @sheilaoflanagan @DesmondSwayne Exactly this. If you cough with covid and are wearing a CHEAP paper mask , the particles get dispersed through it like a hose on mist spray mode and hover in the air. Without a mask they drop quickly to the ground
@kids_cats_golf@Kit_Yates_Maths It only shows from July to make it seem much worse than it is. If you go back further we are nowhere near as worse off as we were
@EssexPR Imagine if they bring in restrictions and cancel the Xmas period for the 2nd year, then the data shows Omicron is basically the common cold. Thats why I think they cannot risk doing it
@BBCBreaking And look how many tests have been done in the last 24 hrs. More tests = more cases. if you only did 2 tests yesterday you would find 2 cases max. Doesn't mean there's only 2.
@LazarusDeadMan@AndrewCLeach@JuliaHB1 ""If Omicron in the UK combines increased transmissibility and immune escape, irrespective of severity, it is highly likely that very stringent measures would be required to." Irrespective of severity?? SAGE already saying we need restrictions even IF it turns out to be a cold
