We have until Oct. 17 to stop Texas from making the irreversible mistake of executing #RobertRoberson, an innocent person accused of SBS. Join me and @innocence in fighting for Robert by adding your name to his petition: https://t.co/iE0HyfkmyB
@Megtedge The first jury selection process I ever sat through was unbelievable. They didn't dump a knowingly tainted jury pool & systematically eliminated jurors who were college educated.
@Megtedge For anyone who is unfamiliar with the concept, regardless of what judges and prosecutors get away with, governments don't have "rights". Citizens have rights to protect them from government.
@Megtedge Did you know that Alaskan juries are now being required to watch a video that tells them that the State has rights to a fair trial too? Completely false misinformation being fed to juries on a daily basis.
So there's a game-changing development regarding public records at Alaska courthouses. I noticed this while pulling records at a courthouse off the road system recently ...
Prayer Request! It is very obvious that many people who were part of Jocelynn's life & death have also been harmed by this process over time, & are being harmed yet again. We ask you to pray for inner healing for them all, as we complete this journey into real justice & freedom.
We have a 4-day weekend from court!! Woohoo!! Thank you again to everyone who has been praying from home and work, and sitting with us. We feel like Jocelynn's voice is finally being heard. Happy weekend everybody!! We'll be back in court Tuesday.
This is gross negligence, DOC. After Kellsie Green's death it is criminally negligent for there not to be a health screening when someone is brought in. They can't claim ignorance anymore!
We know many of Alaska's incarcerated people are parents, but the state doesn't track that data. They should though, as it's an important part of understanding and meeting the needs of this population, and ending cycles of incarceration in families.
Incarceration has a negative impact on the entire family, but more so the children of incarcerated parents. We must explore options for the restoration of families starting with specialized family visits with an emphasis on parent/child bonding & communication. #akleg
SB91 was blamed for things happening prior to it even going into effect. There were parts of this bill that never had a chance to come to fruition before false rhetoric and fear mongering got it repealed. Deliberste misinformation is a nasty weapon in politics.
Visitation for children in Alaska is abhorrent. They are barely allowed physical contact with their fathers/grandfathers and have no access to anything constructive to aid the bonding process i.e. books games food items #akleg
Hey #akleg and all candidates running for the Alaska Legislature, it's time to #VisitAPrison and see firsthand what is happening behind the walls. Talk with incarcerated people and staff in order to make informed decisions about the future of corrections in Alaska.
