@Eastcorkclinsoc @illonaduffy @HSELive When I worked in New Zealand there was no out of hours after midnight. The rationale was that if you are sick enough to see a doctor after midnight, you need the Emergency Department. If you weren't sick enough for that, it could wait until the morning

It should be socially acceptable when you go out to eat in a restaurant that you can go to other tables, ask them tell what their dinner is like and-perhaps-have a nibble so you can make a fully informed decision

@docmum I have sent several letters into our local hospital asking them to phone us when one of our patients dies. Sometimes they do, more often they fill out a form, then we get a letter after the funeral. Not good enough.
