Pretty wild stuff: Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton recently explained why the Minnesota Vikings “never came close to winning a Super Bowl.” According to him, the team didn’t even practice during the two weeks leading up to the big game.

He says Hall of Fame coach Bud Grant would send the players home and install the offense himself — even though Tarkenton had done it all season.

Looks like the Vikings’ Head Coach to Quarterback organizational disconnect goes back further than most of us ever realized.
