@implausibleblog Of course the nation has been conned by the Vote Leave Campaign. Remain offered us to remain in and continue with the EU - nothing fake about that. Leave offered the nation the World - an utterly fake offer as no one on their side had negotiated any deal whatsoever!!
@BrexitBin A coalition of Progressive Political Parties could seek to gain a Norway-type deal with with the EU in its first term of office if it had the right imagination and vision for the UK's future. Freedom of Movement would be included in this.
@EricWorsthorne @mikegalsworthy The Tories cashed in our European membership to be able to stash their money in the island tax havens of the Spanish Main. Untold billions lost to Britain.
@Peradventur3 @dontbrexitfixit@UKLabour Do I not understand that if we were to become once more a member of the EU we could return most of the illegal immigrants back to France or Belgium?
@gildedcage66 Over and over again and again Viters were sold the idea of a Norway-type deal. But when the result came in Mrs May declared the Referendum to be Leave means Leave, i.e. a Hard Brexit. Boris Johnson delivered the Hardest possible in 2019/20.
@dontbrexitfixit Brexit as sold by the Vote Leave campaign and implemented by Mrs May after the Referendum and again reinforced by Boris Johnson in 2019/20 is all pure Quackery!!! All built on lies.
@dontbrexitfixit@bmpiscaer@UKLabour Pro-EU supporters are now back in the majority. Brexit is an unmitigated disaster. Starmer's Brexit is no better. There are many things Labour could do to have a better relationship with the EU, and make it better for UK citizens. So what are Labour's proposals? Open Politics?
@dontbrexitfixit@UKLabour But why is Starmer not extolling the virtues of EU membership?
If it's because of those Hyperboreans in Red-Wall districts, then I have to describe him & his colleagues as lazy. It's politician's job to explain what's a better course for the country & to take the voters with him
@dontbrexitfixit Comic Responsibility [Aristophanes]
Be not annoyed, my audience, if a poor beggar like me is going to stand before the Athenians and is going to talk about the City [its politics] in a comic play it is because this is fair game enough as well as being the responsibility of Comedy
We have lost so much because of the populist #Brexit
Which of these benefits do you miss the most?
