The “Knock Down” Drill is a great way to reinforce replacing the feet before the hands.
Too often we see linemen try to touch their opponent before their foot is in the ground, causing their hip to open up.

.@CoachDanCasey is correct, this is a great drill for RB's. Because of this, we have to teach our ILB's the same thing. Close open windows fitting fast and tight.

Toledo OL Coach Mike Hallett - Indy Med Ball Stacks Drill
- "I had to figure out a way (to simulate movement). Our guys when I got here and the defenses started moving, they were so locked into... it's a 4-2 box, it's man cage B. We started seeing a lot of different gap exchanges."
- "Not necessarily to simulate odd defenses, it's just to take structure out of it, so that guys get their eyes right and they take their responsibilities."
- Simulate zone schemes. Working Inside/Mid Zone/Stretch Tracks.

Complexes are a great way to work technique, a clever way to boost volume & capacity, and of course a high return on invested time warm up.
The weight will slowly increase as time goes on, the movements will get significantly better, and our dudes will be more jacked.
