What we see...

It is important to remember that only about 2% of high school student-athletes nationwide receive scholarships to play in college. Of those, less than 1% go on to play professionally.

At the IHSAA, high school sports are referred to as “the second classroom.”

This phrase suggests that the education and life lessons learned through sports are intended to complement the academic education received at school, not replace it.
