Early this morning, FDOT and FHP escorted @insideFPL teams to advance power restoration efforts across areas impacted by Hurricane #Isaias.
As FDOT continues our mission during the recovery process, we are happy to lend a hand wherever needed, working alongside our partners to serve our communities!
#publix why have you forsaken me?!? You discontinued the bakery multigrain bread!!! It’s the only sandwich bread I have eaten for years and it’s the very best.
Signed,
A very, very unhappy customer
We've restored power to nearly 1.3 million customers – nearly two-thirds of all affected customers. We remain focused on the 669,000 customers without power, including approximately 85,000 who were affected by unprecedented tornado activity. Later today, we will provide estimated restoration times for customers without power. Learn more: https://t.co/RAOQxVcyXV
We're working around the clock to restore your power. By the end of today, we expect to provide our best initial estimates for when power will be restored.
Crews from all over the country are working alongside us in our communities restoring power where it is safe to do so. Due to significant damage, some areas are inaccessible or difficult to enter. We will continue to work around the clock until everyone is restored.
Hurricane Milton made landfall in Sarasota County as a Category 3 storm and produced multiple tornadoes and hurricane-force winds as it tore across the state. Crews have begun to assess damage and restore power to customers affected by Milton and will not stop until every customer has power. We urge our customers to avoid flooded areas and downed power lines.
We are strategically pre-positioning crews across Florida in preparation for #Milton. We have activated our storm preparation plan so we can restore power safely and as quickly as possible following the storm. For the latest, please visit https://t.co/WvJ0RmI05T.

For the miles traveled, sacrifices made, and hours worked, we are grateful. Thank you to those that answered our call, including the mutual assistance line and vegetation crews for helping us get back on our feet. We will continue working until every customer has power restored.
