If you want to understand how the Supreme Court rules on politics rather than the law look no further than the arena of Federal Indian Law.
Today #SCOTUS changed who has criminal jurisdiction on over 300 reservations not based on precedent or even the facts on the ground…
Random thoughts 🧵 about the evergreen topic of academia vs industry. In my opinion, Zoom - and the rise of remote work more generally - has made non-academic careers more desirable, and academic careers less desirable.

Thank you to @v_hazzard_, @DNeumark & colleagues for this work! These findings are so encouraging, in light of the ACEs that I (and many others in my life) faced. I can't quite put into words the hope this kind of data provides.
New findings "suggest self-compassion may act as a buffer against adverse mood-, weight-, and eating-related outcomes in EA in the face of adversity and therefore may be an important intervention target." https://t.co/4eIeWGTI7Y
See - I told y’all colonization is everywhere!!
It’s is so deeply embedded in society that it’s found in the language we choose.
My #EpiTwitter roots lead me to say the alternative depends context and the intended impact/outcome.

In day two of the @MixedMethodsRTP and can't speak highly enough of the program. Even in a virtual setting, gaining practical skills I can bring to future mixed methods projects.
