I recently acquired a 28-inch vinyl cutter for creating large decals and graphics. Initially, I didn't conduct much research before the purchase and found that there are limited free software options available for operating it. Most of the functional programs range from $70 to $200.
Before committing to purchasing software, I explored the possibility of building something with Cursor. Since I already have a custom Python application for my diode laser, I added a vinyl cutting feature to it. In just about an hour, I was up and running, ready to cut.
While I may never build a billion-dollar SaaS, the ability to create custom apps that save money and enhance workflows is still quite rewarding.
I’ve been working on an application to run my laser engraver and added a new array feature. I’m loving this project and the application. #buildinpublic#laser#engraver#woodworking
@joevezz@gregisenberg Facts. I think this is why apps like signal, discourse, and slack are so hot right now. Social media, outside of reels, is slowing dying.
Never going to happen. There is no way to monetize it without all the stuff we hate. People only pay for social media to monetize their accounts. They can only monetize their accounts if the platform can make money off their content.
The platform would not be sustainable without the trash.
I spent like 45 minutes yesterday having a casual conversation with coworkers, about SSH keys and it somehow led to another conversation about IPv6.
It was the best conversation I’ve had in a long time.
Another gem with almost no visibility. Real building, real progress, with a real win and it’s ignored by the algorithm.
Stop letting the algorithm tell you what you should see.
Good work @Snehalxmode !

Streaming audio → now playing live in the UI.
The agent isn’t just sending data anymore…
It’s actually talking back in real-time.
@gus_tiffer They’re lying. If anything, they’re irritating through “one shot” prompts and picking out snippets each time to build their 100th one shot prompt that actually works and basically contains the entire codebase.
Why learn PowerShell? Why was I so passionate about teaching PowerShell?
A simple foreach saved me hours converting files this morning. My computer is working while I get coffee.
Roughly 30 raw images (350 gigs) converting to qcow2 while I focus on other tasks.
