It's that time again! Our tree stands are empty now...but the morning after Thanksgiving they'll be filling up. Make one (or more) of our trees, wreaths, or ornaments yours!
Come to CJPVFD Station 10--pick your tree, meet our volunteer members who will take care of you!
“His leadership, mentorship, and advocacy improved the lives of firefighters and strengthened the community he served. This dedication ensures his legacy will stand visibly and permanently along a roadway he and our crews respond on everyday.”
CJPVFD proudly announces that the State of Maryland has dedicated a portion of River Road (Maryland Route 190) in honor of former Fire Chief James P. Seavey, Sr.
Practice makes perfect. Recently our volunteers participated in a full fire training drill practice every move needed for fighting a fire. From practicing how to mask up, to hose line management, to interacting with our engine, no skill is too insignificant to overlook.
Save the date for our annual open house on May 17th from 11AM- 3PM. Bring the whole family and see demonstrations, learn safety tips, and meet our volunteers. We hope to see you there!
This weekend our new members jumped right into training. Using our community funded mannequin they practiced how to take a blood sugar. This type of training is a crucial first step before they are assigned a shift.
Members from Arlington staffed an engine and filled in at Station 710. This was so members of @mcfrs could pay respects to their lost brother. Rest easy Chris! 🙏
We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and First day of Hanukah. Thanks to your generosity we were able to donate a record breaking 1,500 toys to children in need in our community. Thank you for supporting us in our mission to serve the community.
SAD NEWS--REMAINING SANTA RUNS CANCELLED
Our sleigh broke down on last night's Santa run. We managed to get it home, but upon inspection we realized that it couldn't be repaired in time to finish the rest of this year's runs.
All presents will be delivered on Christmas Eve to the National Center for Children and Families in Bethesda and to the Scotland Drive Community Association in partnership with the Montgomery County Police Department.
