Most of X is still arguing AI will either replace everyone or fail entirely.

The data says neither is happening.

In 2023, every CEO said AI was going to take your job by 2026.

Goldman Sachs said 300 million jobs were exposed.

IBM said 30% of back-office workers would be replaced.

Total US layoffs attributed to AI through Q1 2026: ~99,000.

That’s 0.06% of the US workforce.

TLDR

AI is a productivity tool that’s slowly integrating into specific workflows where it genuinely helps.

Coding. Customer service tier 1. Medical scribes. Drafting.

Boring. Useful. But compounding.
