Taught a sophomore in high school who fled father’s home to live with an older sister who also fled the home because they did not want to honor the marriages their father had contracted when they were toddlers. These girls were Pakistani-Americans who had to take legal action against their father who threatened to kill them to protect his honor. Islamic men might not be backers of the women’s movement.
