Airspace infringements continue to be a major issue for aviation here in the UK...
A look into the CAA statistics aren't pretty with hundreds of infringements into controlled airspace every single year...

A selection of shots from a glorious Gloucestershire Airport earlier today. These were taken after my flight in G-BBXW...
It was great to get back in the air after a break from flying due to the long spell of poor weather that we've had since the start of 2026!

Special photos from my First Solo. Everything from the take off roll, the climb out, the congratulatory handshake and even the flight strip!
A special moment for any pilot regardless of their ambitions and these are memories I look back on fondly...

@OldGpu Normally 6,000 feet (QNH) would suffice, but I had to remain clear of controlled airspace that has a lower limit of FL75. Therefore I decided to use the standard pressure setting, know my clearance, and fly at FL60. Hope that explains it!
A glorious day for flying, but with a marked inversion layer affecting visibility. Pictured is Great Malvern from FL60, some of the flooding which was really bad in places, and SJ parked up with Gloucestershire ATC in the background...

An Autumn flight around Gloucestershire Airport with incredibly moody skies. Perhaps a sign I need to work on an Instrument Rating!
Thank you to the boys for a top notch lunch afterwards at Gloucester Services Farmshop & Kitchen

A terrific day out yesterday... first flew G-BASJ to EGBG (Leicestershire) via DTY and then to EGBO (Halfpenny Green)
Glorious weather although a little turbulent in places. East Midlands were great throughout. G-SJ pictured on the apron at EGBO and aircraft parking at EGBG...
20+ years since I last played Tennis properly... and although overall... not bad... somehow I don't think that Alcaraz, Djokovic or Draper will be losing any sleep! I'll stick to flying aeroplanes...
@simonfewkes83 Congratulations Simon! Fabulous success story... you and Owain were the two Bristol pilots that inspired me to get my PPL... look at you now! Well done and enjoy every minute of it!
A great flight with Alex who works for the airlines, with stunning weather and beautiful views...
We departed Bristol Airport and flew South, then followed the South Coast...
We climbed up to 8,000ft and also practiced some Radio Navigation using the Berry Head VOR/DME...

A really enjoyable flight where I take a backseat with two other pilots, one a retired B747 Captain! Moody skies with significant cloud build up in areas, so we enjoyed a spot of cloud surfing where possible as we flew a route that took us all along the South Coast of the UK...
The reaction when that same Touring Motor Glider cuts you up on final... the same TMG that cut you up the time before... and the time before that... now has to perform a go-around because the PA28 ahead of you (that you were politely following) is yet to vacate the runway...
