The anti-racism protests across the UK have been a wonderful reaffirmation of our collective humanity.
But they will not, on their own, defeat racism and fascism.
That requires political leadership. It also means an end to the mainstreaming of racist language and ideas.
Sickens me that for 10 months we marched peacefully to demand an end to the genocide in Gaza and we were framed and smeared as violent, divisive and driven by hate.
Then actual fascists start rioting, looting and engaging in racist violence and there’s barely a murmur.
Propel once again giving voice to such a range of new voices in poetry. I have plugged this mag in readings because to all of us without a first collection it has been there for us, a new editor each time, beautifully produced. Enjoy!

They do a really good job, and, I agree, they are very nice to communicate with, (even if, like me, you’ve made a mistake or are unsuccessful). https://t.co/9p0ryt1wy2
Israel just dropped multiple 2000 pound bombs on an UNRWA school full of displaced Palestinian children at Nasairat Refugee Camp…
Dozens of children are dead and hundreds more injured, every single government that supports these war crimes should be haul before The Hague…🇵🇸💔
We are now open for submissions for Issue Four of our Zine.

Israel has deleted this tweet, a confession of genocidal intent.
It made clear Israel believes Gaza's entire population have collective guilt.
The point was to diminish outrage at slaughtered civilians, because they're not 'innocent'.
They even paid to make the tweet an ad.
You have exactly 3 weeks left to enter our Open Pamphlet Competition!

All this late night points scoring is distraction & petty personal irritation — but since the Chair of the Poetry Society has pointed his fingers:
Neither Anthony, nor we (nor fwiw, to any extent I’ve seen, FFB) claim or insist on moral purity. This is a straw man.
#BaillieGifford calls itself a ‘responsible investor' yet @fossilfreebooks reveals that it has millions of pounds invested in Babcock, a massive arms manufacturer supplying the Israeli military. Yet authors asking politely for divestment are 'extremists? https://t.co/s6MgNvQGvB
“The pamphlet has allowed my words to find new lines of flight that I never dreamed possible.”
