Maybe posting the names and photos of Ateneo's Board will put the right pressure. Please consider sharing. They need to understand the weight of all of this.
I don't think sapat yung lifetime scholarship lang sa mga kapatid/kamag-anak ng mga namatay sa kapabayaan ng Ateneo. I think the institution should also shoulder their life's basic necessities. I don't think people understand how financially difficult it is to lose a breadwinner.
kapag walang managot, sana hindi makabawi ang ateneo sa reputasyon, malugmok kayo for all i care, if you’re willing to sacrifice your good academic reputation for your basketball program, might as well suffer the consequences.
Fr Bobby Yap mas importante sayo ang well being ni Tab Baldwin kesa sa well being ng pamilya ni Rene na nawalan ng anak. Grabe, you can go this low?? Nasan ang compassion at Filipino Values?? Nakakawala ng respeto. It is so obvious kung bakit ayaw nyong pagsalitaan. Nakakagalit!!
I echo the same sentiments. As a former high school teacher, dalawa lang hiling namin sa lahat ng school sanctioned activities: First, it runs well. Second and most importantly, no student gets hurt.
Investigations MUST push through but at the same time, dapat may masibak!
I'm sorry, i hate to admit this, but Ateneo just lost its moral ascendancy to speak about injustice and accountability.
That recent statement was just hand-washing, gaslighting, and too much pride.
Sobrang nakaka-disappoint.
This is insane. Karen asked the right question here. Of all the beaches in the country, why choose the one beach that is known for being unsafe? ADMU, you have a lot to explain for. Bakit sa Dipaculao ninyo dinadala ang mga athletes nyo for some drastic nonstandard training? Make it make sense.

BATERBONIA'S MOM TO ATENEO PLAYERS: 'MAYAMAN KAMI SA RESPETO'
Rovelyn Baterbonia, the mother of the late Ateneo Blue Eagles player Rene Clert Baterbonia, broke down in tears as she addressed her son's teammates during their visit to his wake.
She recalled how Rene once promised to bring home a UAAP MVP award—and, one day, even a PBA MVP trophy.
"Pag ako makarating sa UAAP, bibigyan talaga kita ng UAAP MVP o kung mapagbigyan na siya, PBA MVP. Kasi 'yan ang pangarap natin," Rovelyn said, recalling her son's words.
Rovelyn also reminded the players about the value of respect, a principle she said their family has always upheld.
"Mahirap kami pero malaki ang respeto. Mayaman man o mahirap, may yaman kami sa respeto. Kaya sana maintindihan niyo 'yung respeto na sinasabi ko," she said.
This is so off. Bakit yung namatayan yung nag-press con?! Bakit yung coach from Davao? Bakit sila yung nag-explain sa public?!
Nasan na si Coach Tab Baldwin? Yung coaching staff ng Ateneo? Yung ibang players? And di pa daw nahaharap ni Tab yung nanay ni Rene?! @ateneodemanilau
Take notes.
While some former Blue Eagles were busy defending their brotherhood and a lawyer was busy defending his alma mater, she’s one of the few people actually talking about the families and asking the questions that matter.
Two families lost their sons. Parents are living every parent’s worst nightmare. Yet some people’s first reaction was to protect a school’s image and defend a brotherhood.
That’s exactly what’s wrong.
Nobody was asking you to stop loving Ateneo. Nobody was asking you to abandon your school. People were asking for accountability. People were asking for answers.
The fact that some were more eager to defend institutions than stand with grieving families says more about them than it does about Ateneo.
Alam niyo Ateneo kung talagang aksidente lang yan, somehow mas madali siya sabihin sa public eh. Pero yung until now tahimik pa rin kayo at walang humaharap sa media, it speaks volume. Halatang may pinoprotektahan kayo.
