Here are some images of our recent project for @sheffmuseums. With some generous funding from @Woodmansterne we got to conserve 'Judith with the Head of Holofernes', 1610-20 by the studio of Carlo Saraceni. Now on display at Graves Art Gallery.

We had a pleasure to conserve some paintings for the new Still Lives exhibition at @HepworthGallery. Here's a sneaky peek of us cleaning 'Tulips' by Margaret Firth, 1951.
Ernest Normand's 'Rivals' (1897) came to our studio from @ScarbsMuseums for some treatment that included removal of surface dirt, retouching of scuffs and conservation framing.
This mystery painting from @LeedsMuseums came to us for conservation last year. Once the facing tissue covering and holding it together was off, it was revealed to be Kirkstall Abbey. Painstaking tear repairs, re-lining, cleaning and retouching followed. A very rewarding project!
Revealed 👀 a selection of artworks in the city’s collection conserved by @ckconservation. Their conservation shows the true beauty and drama of these landscapes.

#Mystery solved! This c1790s oil painting of @KirkstallAbbey has been hidden by #conservation tissue for nearly 30 years. It does need a bit of tlc but is in good hands @ckconservation if we can get funds to restore it.
@artukdotorg@JackieWagg We can see how the landscape has changed around the Viaduct from this 1906 oil painting by E.E. Smith, 'Stockport from Brinksway'. It was beautifully conserved in 2018 by @ckconservation - look at those brick red hues now! #WorldArtDay#OnlineArtExchange https://t.co/9eKv9iOV88
We're pleased to share the before and after of our wonderful portrait of Mrs Knaplock which has gone on display for our last week at Shibden.
We don't know anything about the sitter or artist sadly, but the painting deserved some TLC thanks to @ckconservation
She’s here and my gosh isn’t she beautiful?!
‘Woman with Samovar’ c1890 by Ernest Moore was recently conserved by the brilliant @ckconservation with thanks to the @Woodmansterne Art Conservation Awards.
We can’t stop looking at her 😍
Did you catch @looknorthBBC last night? 📺
