Some of highest kill rates are in ISPCA run pounds. A national scandal

[Karlin Lillington @ckcsrescue]

For greyhounds, there's an average 78% kill rate -- thanks to our greyhound 'industry' in Ireland, lots of 'unneeded' dogs in that system

[Karlin Lillington @ckcsrescue]

so...

[Karlin Lillington @ckcsrescue]

Correction on greyhounds, the rate is higher... 78%

[Karlin Lillington @ckcsrescue]

For greyhounds, there's an average 72% kill rate -- thanks to our greyhound 'industry' in Ireland, lots of 'unneeded' dogs in that system

[Karlin Lillington @ckcsrescue]

New stats out: we killed 1 in every 3 dogs in Irish pounds last year (17,386 dead dogs) many pounds kill almost every dog not reclaimed
