Municipalities own or oversee more than 60% of Canada’s public infrastructure, and are the closest order of government to the daily lives of Canadians. As the federal government prepares to share more details about the next generation of infrastructure in Canada, it is critical that municipalities join other orders of government in those discussions.
Canada’s future growth runs through communities and cities. Smart investments in core infrastructure are critical if we’re going to build more housing, better public transit, and improve basic amenities such as water and wastewater. All orders of government need to work together.

What if electric vehicle plants located in progressive communities with wind and solar power to run the factories. Close to the US border. Now where o where could that be. #ckont
I like the idea of electric vehicles to help fight climate change. Ford opening two plants in Tennessee and Kentucky using cheap coal power. Tesla moves headquarters from California to Texas for environmental reasons. Is any of this actually good? Hmmmm. #ckont
We still have a long way to go in Chatham-Kent to get reliable rural internet to everyone, but it is great to see the 2025 commitment by Minister Surma. @KingaSurmaMPP@MonteMcNaughton#ckont
During this week’s @AMOPolicy conference, I discussed how our government is committed to making sure every community is connected to high-speed internet by 2025.
This access will allow all households to work, learn, communicate, and access vital services anywhere in Ontario
If you retweet anything all week, retweet this - CK's Bradley Centre Clinic is now open to walk-in's for 1st AND 2nd doses! Spread the word! #TwoDoseSummerCK#ckont
@Alysson4CK@LivingCK@macleans About a km more fibre installed every day. CK is getting there. Hope to have over 75% connected by the end of 2022 and over 90% by 2025. Many ISP's and all levels of government working together.
@TThompson_CK @CCpxpSN@CKCyclones05 No he did not mention the below average property taxes, the low cost of living, being surrounded by Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair where you can ice fish now or see TJ Brodie on his boat in the summer, or any other of the fine communities that are in Chatham-Kent. #CKont
