1/ Some semi-related thoughts on the current COVID wave (not wavelet):

-Still uncertainty as to how large it may get. Hospitalizations *may* rival that of wave 5. Updated models coming soon.

-As per before, this will disproportionately impact at-risk individuals/communities.

@BarrieGeriLead This is it exactly!! Kids are resilient and can handle another 2 weeks. Older adults are at high risk of confinement syndrome and need more support.

@BarrieGeriLead So so frustrating! Most older adults I talk to say that confinement is worse then the thought of dying. They continue to say that they want to live what life they have (regardless of COVID or co-morbidities) left rather then be subjected to more isolation.

@katie_bingham I unfortunately have witnessed this. Sad but we often don’t care as much for ourselves as our patients. Education and awareness is key to change I think.
